A record-breaking attraction is being built on MSC Cruises’ next megaship: MSC World Asia. Designed as the longest dry slide at sea, The Spiral @ Tree of Life will be MSC’s latest death-defying thrill ride, stretching 266 feet across 12 decks. Rising 32 feet and weighing nearly eight tons, the Spiral has 492 feet of LED lighting.
At night, the Tree of Life will become a focal point of onboard entertainment, enhanced by integrated lighting, music, and activities that create an energetic atmosphere. Tying into the ship’s broader Asia-inspired elements, the Tree of Life is inspired by the iconic Supertrees of Singapore’s Marina Bay.
The slide will be the ship’s most unique visual landmark, and an all-ages attraction linking directly to the World Promenade, a key space for ocean views, dining, entertainment, and relaxation. Currently under construction at Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, MSC World Asia will launch in December with 7-night Mediterranean cruises.
Built for up to 6,762 passengers, MSC World Asia is the third ship in MSC Cruises’ enormous World Class category, and a new showcase for the brand’s bigger-is-better approach to cruising. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, MSC Cruises is the world’s third-largest cruise line and the market leader in Europe.
