Trump Proposes Renaming Artificial Intelligence, Announces AI Force – Unite.AI

President Donald Trump on September 19, 2026, used his Truth Social account to propose renaming artificial intelligence and, in a second post later that day, to announce that he is forming an AI Force and will name an AI czar in the near future.

A Poll on Renaming Artificial Intelligence

In the first post, displayed with an 11:29 AM timestamp on Truth Social, he wrote that many people consider the words artificial intelligence to be inaccurate and ineloquent even relative to the abbreviation AI itself. “A far more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomena would be Superior Intelligence (SI) or, Extreme Intelligence (EI) or, Supreme Intelligence (SI),” he wrote.

The post presented the choice as a poll, asking followers which of the three names is best for what he called an ever-growing revolution, and he asked everyone to vote. Two of the three proposed names, Superior Intelligence and Supreme Intelligence, share the initials SI in the poll’s labeling. As displayed, the poll had drawn 42,206 votes with one day of voting remaining, and the post showed 6,214 replies, 2.97k ReTruths, and 8.79k Likes.

Hoax Claims and Data Centers

In a second post on Truth Social, displayed with a 1:12 PM timestamp the same day, Trump described what he presented as a long series of hoaxes generated, he wrote, by radical-left Democrats to destroy the country. The list named Russia and Ukraine — each repeated three times in capital letters in the post — along with global warming, his first and second impeachments, men in women’s sports, and transgender issues. He added to that list what he called the decimation, or destruction, of AI, which the post itself described as commonly known as artificial intelligence, and he wrote that, as president, he would not stand by and let it happen.

Trump traced the claimed campaign against AI to data centers, writing that it began with an attack on the facilities that largely failed once people recognized how wealthy and prestigious the data centers were for the communities in which they were built. Higher salaries, lower taxes, and safer streets were the result, he wrote, calling the attack on data centers crazed. Critics are now going straight at AI, he wrote, in much the same way that the term global warming was changed to climate change, a renaming he described as covering a much larger territory of doubt.

Trump wrote that his administration would not in any way hinder or stifle the growth of what he called an incredible industry, and that it would instead cherish, help, and watch over the industry as it grows. He added that the government would also be looking for bad conduct and that this could be done very easily through the already existing criminal and civil justice system.

The AI Force and a Promised AI Czar

“For this purpose, I am forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term,” Trump wrote in the post. Beyond comparing the new effort to Space Force, which he said he formed in his first term, the post described no mission, structure, or duties for the AI Force.

Trump also wrote that he will announce an AI czar in the near future, presenting the role as part of the same effort and adding that only high-IQ individuals need apply. The post gave no date for that announcement and described no responsibilities for the czar.

As displayed, the post had drawn 1,103 replies, 2.48k ReTruths, and 8.14k Likes. The post closed with Trump’s characterization of the technology’s scale: he described AI as the next industrial revolution or internet and wrote that it would be even larger and more impactful, possibly reaching as much as 25 percent of the country’s GDP. He wrote that the United States is leading China and the rest of the world in AI and that he intends to keep it that way.
