US Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8’s chipset is now confirmed


Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip8 was certified by the FCC earlier this month. Now, the folks over at Android Authority have done a deep dive into the documents that the FCC has published, and they have discovered clear confirmation that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The image below references the SoC’s model number, which is SM8850. So, the Galaxy Z Flip8 will definitely be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chip in the US.

According to a previous report, only Korea and Europe will see the phone with the Exynos 2600 SoC instead. Every other part of the world is also getting the Snapdragon.

The Flip8 is rumored to sport a crease-free display and a new hinge. It’s allegedly going to be offered in Cream, Graphite, Mint, and Pink colors, with 256/512GB of storage.
