Punjab Teachers to Get Full Conveyance Allowance During Summer Training

The Punjab School Education Department has decided to retain the full conveyance allowance for 35,000 teachers participating in the English Language Proficiency Course during the summer holidays.

According to official directives, no deductions will be made from the conveyance allowance of teachers enrolled in the training programme, ensuring that all eligible participants receive the full amount.

The department has instructed all District Education Authorities to prepare comprehensive lists of teachers attending the training and submit them to the Finance Department to facilitate the timely release of payments.

Authorities have also been directed to immediately share the data of all 35,000 participating teachers with the Finance Department to prevent delays in the disbursement of the allowance.

Under normal practice, conveyance allowance is deducted from teachers’ salaries during the summer vacation period. However, teachers attending the English Language Proficiency Course have been granted an exemption, allowing them to receive the allowance in full while completing the training.

The move is aimed at supporting teachers participating in professional development programmes without affecting their financial benefits.
